Pastor Germany has served as a GMDMA Executive Board Member and General Secretary since 2019. She was initially brought to the GMDMA to write grants under the former President, Bishop Jerry Ayiku Demmer, and shortly after coming onboard, she was ask to take the role of Secretary.
Pastor of The Intercessors of the Narrow Gate
She is Founder and Co-Pastor of The Intercessors of the Narrow Gate, a national Church of prayer and ministry made up of intercessors and praying people from 12 states of the union and 5 countries in Africa. Prior to pastoring, she spent 12 years leading an intercessory prayer ministry for a 3,000-member Church in Seattle, Washington. She was a five-year professor at Aspen Christian College and Seminary where she taught Intercessory Prayer as well as Research Writing for Graduate Students as they development and completed their theses and dissertations. Prior to teaching Research Writing, she supported graduate students in completing their theses and dissertations for Masters and PhD degrees in Information Technology.
An IT Writing Professional
Dr. Germany is a 25-year writing consultant and an analytical, creative thinker who also coaches others in their writing successes for business, technical, educational, and nonprofit writing. Her consulting contracts include Technical Writing and Project Management for major corporations such as Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), The Boeing Company, Microsoft, Kaiser Permanente, T-Mobile, World Vision, Frontier Airlines, and The State of Maine. She is the owner of Write Now Communications with a portfolio that includes manuals, policies, processes, procedures, software development lifecycle, and working with NIST and HIPAA standards as they relate to cybersecurity and Microsoft’s Azure e-business platform. Her portfolio also includes developing solicited and unsolicited grant proposals, complex reporting processes, and annual reports; responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) for commercial and industrial appraisals; program design, development, and narrating reports; business plans; loan packaging; manuscript coaching and editing; and website design, development, and management.
A Creator of a Successful Small Business Program
Dr. Germany pioneered a program for small and micro level businesses in the early 90s that caught the attention of the Washington State legislatures and general assembly. Based on the national economic climate, the program received $479,000 in federal funding under Job Opportunities for Low Income (JOLI). She project managed and taught 10-week classes in partnership with the Small Business Administration, local universities and colleges, and banking institutions under the auspices of the Inner-City Entrepreneurial Training Program for five years. Low-income individuals who completed the business training program received a loan component from $5,000 to $50,000 as start-up capital.
Education
Dr. Germany has a Doctorate Degree in Urban Religious Studies from Aspen Christian College and Seminary, a Master’s degree in Technical Communication / Technical Writing, and a certification in Scientific Technical Writing and Editing from the University of Washington.
