EVANGELIST VENITA O'HARA: GMDMA Liaison for Education

SHE IS A MISSIONARY AND EVANGELIST

Evangelist Missionary Venita O'Hara is a member of Unity Pentecostal Temple COGIC where she serves in the Sunday School Department, President of the Prayer and Bible Band and President of the Missionary Circle. She is an instructor for Unity’s Leadership Training classes and Weekly Noon and Saturday morning Intercessory Prayer Leader. She is also the personal assistant to her Pastor, Dr. Odie Kennedy. 

God has afforded her the opportunity to preach the gospel in many states, in several denominations, and at several women’s retreats. 

Educational and Christian Leadership:

Missionary O’Hara was honored In March 2017, for her educational leadership by the Denver Section of the National Council of Negro Women, during their 25th Annual Living Portraits of African American Women.  

Evangelist Missionary O’Hara loves the Word of God and has many favorite scriptures, but the one that is the most quoted can be found in Philippians, 3:10:  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death...

SHE IS AN EDUCATOR

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Evangelist Missionary Venita O'Hara attended the University of Cincinnati, School of Education and relocated to Denver, CO to begin her teaching career with Denver Public Schools. During her tenure there, she has worked in many capacities, serving both students and professional colleagues. After 40 years of service, she still maintains that her first love is teaching. 

Degrees in Education:

• Master's Degree in Multicultural/Bilingual Special Education
• Master's Degree in Educational Administration

Post Graduate Studies (2 years): 

• Principal Leadership Academies, Yale University Child Study Center

HER FAMILY

She is the mother of three sons, Scott, Gabriel, and Vaughn; mother-in-love of Morgan; and grandmother of Sasha and twin boys, Thaddeus and Xavier.
